How to Whiten Teeth

In this article we would like to answer one of the most frequently asked questions about dental aesthetics: How can I whiten my teeth? Currently, there are three ways of whitening teeth:

  • Use of natural products.
  • With professional whitening sets from well-known brands.
  • Visit a dental clinic and whiten your teeth.

Maintaining excellent oral hygiene is the most important thing that a person can do to reduce tooth yellowing.

Regular brushing and flossing protects the enamel, prevents gum decay, and removes stains.

Good oral hygiene includes:

  • Brushing the teeth at least twice a day. A person should be sure to also clean around the gums and the backs of the teeth.
  • Using a fluoride toothpaste. Fluoride can fight and even reverse tooth decay. Though some people oppose using fluoride, dentists believe that fluoride is safe and beneficial for teeth.
  • Flossing to remove plaque between the teeth.

Whiten teeth with natural or household products

There are many natural substances that help to whiten teeth, but you need to be aware of something very important, these are natural remedies that do not mean that they are safe. Many people are looking for ways to get to know their teeth in one day, which is something that is not possible, let alone these domestic remedies. Although some of these remedies can work in the short term, they can cause long-term damage (sometimes even irreversible) if they are abused. Good oral health and hygiene are the basis for the success of natural methods. If you think you have a dental problem, it is important to consult your dentist before using these methods.

Even if you’ve ever thought about how to whiten bonding on teeth, you always have to ask a specialized person

We will then discuss the best known natural remedies:

Activated carbon

This product has become very popular as a tooth whitening agent because it is one of the easiest and cheapest natural tooth whitening products to use.

It works very well as an antioxidant, eliminates all toxins and superficial stains from tea and other food products. Brushing with activated charcoal can whiten up to 3 teeth.

How is it used?

Crush one tablet of charcoal powder, dip and wet clean the toothbrush and wash your teeth as if you were doing it with toothpaste. When you’re done with a toothbrush, rinse your mouth well.

Do not abuse this method, activated carbon is an abrasive, because too often used can damage the enamel.

Milk powder and toothpaste

Dairy products, especially milk, significantly improve dental health. Milk contains phosphorus or calcium, which support the remineralisation of tooth enamel.

To take advantage of these benefits, you can use more milk products for your teeth or wash them with milk powder. It is possible to combine it with toothpaste for even better results. If you do this once or twice a week, you will see more effects on your teeth.

Tooth whitening with hydrogen peroxide

Hydrogen peroxide, also known as hydrogen peroxide, is essentially a bleaching agent. But before using hydrogen peroxide, make sure your teeth are not too sensitive.

To use it, simply immerse a cotton pad in hydrogen peroxide and gently rub it against your teeth

There are many products that are also available with hydrogen peroxide, such as gels or bleaching strips. These products, since they are already produced in the factory, have better control over peroxide content so that their use is safer (provided that intruders are closely monitored).

This is a risky technique that is highly likely to damage the enamel. Frequent use is not recommended.

Apple vinegar and water

Apple vinegar is a powerful agent that removes stains from the mouth and disinfects by killing all bacteria in the mouth. To use it, dilute half a teaspoon of apple vinegar in a glass of water and use this home rinse every morning before brushing your teeth. The water neutralizes the acidity of the vinegar, so there are no problems with everyday use.

Another possibility is to rub the teeth directly with vinegar, leave it to work for 5 minutes and then rinse the mouth.  The latter option can only be done once a week because it is more dangerous and can damage the enamel.

Strawberries are not only tasty and healthy, but can also help in teeth whitening. This is made possible by the acidity of the strawberries. The easiest way to harvest the ripe strawberry and crush it with a spoon. Then brush your teeth for a few minutes to remove the yellow stains. It is a good idea to do this once a month.

This method is more effective if you add half a teaspoon of baking powder to the ground strawberry, brush your teeth and leave the mixture for five minutes. Rinse your mouth well after five minutes.
